How Does FCW Work?
The Honda Forward Collision Warning, or FCW, system detects a possible collision with a slower moving or stopped vehicle by scanning the road ahead of you. In the event that the sensors located at the front of your car detect an obstacle, this system them will alert you through multiple warnings in the form of:
- Sounds
- Vibrations
- Quick brake pulsing
- Visuals
- Mixture of signals
These warnings give you time to react and save you, and possibly your vehicle, from an accident. And that means you don’t have to bring your vehicle in for an emergency service appointment.
